Upon arrival at your property, we will visually inspect and assess your situation.
Any water will be removed from your property using truck-mounted or portable extraction. We will then begin the appropriate dryout process needed for your building, including the use of air-movers, fans, dehumidifiers, and heaters. Containment areas may be set up as well, both for your protection and to aid in the dry-out of your home or office. It is important to have a professional dry out your property as quickly as possible, because unseen mold can begin to form within 48 hours and become a serious health hazard to your family.
We will monitor the dry-out with the use of penetrating and non-penetrating moisture meters to determine the depth of water saturation, as well as thermal imaging in some cases.
All-natural germicidal and anti-microbials will be used to prevent the growth of mold, bacteria, and other harmful microorganisms.
Once your home or office is drying out, contact your homeowner’s insurance company (find your insurance company claims department here) if you wish to file a claim. Tell the insurance representative that Summit Restoration & Construction is handling the dry-out of your property, and be sure to write down the claim number you are given.
From there, your Summit representative can deal with your insurance company directly and save you the time and stress. We can meet and negotiate with your insurance adjuster to assure that all necessary repairs are agreed upon. As a licensed commercial and residential general contractor, Summit can take care of any and all repairs needed to return your home or business to its pre-water damage condition. From the ground up, we have experts in every trade that your home or business may require.
